I'm just a Blasian, Ontario girl who is tired of pretending that it's all good in the Great White North, and we can't do anything about it.

Everyone on this planet works hard as hell and most people die penniless. Humans are awesome and productive and love sharing knowledge. Capitalism impedes our true abilities

"Confluence of administrative errors" means a bunch of racist, xenophobic AHs abused their power as expected.

Got my #Wonho fanship package this morning. It seems light, so I'm hoping for some, useful items.

It's a shame his label hasnet started an account on here. But that's probably a language barrier issue.

Any #Wenee in the house?

Police presence doesn't *prevent* crime. Police are reactive.
So if they're not going to perform traffic enforcement (they basically don't in Waterloo Region), then the only function of patrolling is intimidating minorities.

This story is a deeper dive into the measles outbreak in Ontario. It’s from late March, but I just came across it. Worth a read. 🎁🔗

Why get the MMR vaccine?
There’s no cure for measles, it’s not treatable (no matter what meds R F K Jr is touting), measles kills about 1 in 1000 kids, can cause encephalitis & lifelong disability, suppresses immune system leading to other infections, VACCINE IS SAFE and doesn’t cause autism #ONpoli

Our pain is never taken serioualy, and the darker you are then more hostile some medical staff become.

If you don't already know about Jessica Wetz, look for her videos about her diagnosis.

Now imagine all the femfolk who aren't as naturally focused, and strong willed.

Once again, Douglas gambles with our health to keep his pockets full.

Like I said yesterday, he won via bribes and the power fantasies of PC voters.
Doug Ford's attitude towards public healthcare is evident in his irresponsible government's non-response to the measles outbreak in Ontario

There is no defending the Ontario Government's response to the measles outbreak because there has literally been no response from the Ontario Government. No news from Chief Medical officer of Health, no news from Premier. The only news is coming from hard-working local Public Health Units. #onpoli

Alright Australia, I've been joking about your nightmarish wildlife since 6th grade (which you can't convince me isn't the land punishing ya'll for colonization)

But following this election? I think I need to see what ya'll are about irl

Too many Ontarians are too comfortable in their ignorance. Voting for a grifting liar, promising short term gifts (bribes) to extending his power to waste our hard earned and well intentioned tax money on non sense.

You just want to look like the guy in power.
Ford's words must be connected to his govt's actions with the judiciary & an Ontario govt's first use of the notwithstanding clause.

"what he said is part of a troubling pattern that goes back right to the start of his premiership."

For anyone who generally doesn't have the energy to see terrible things online 25/8, log off. Find your niche. Outrage is not a niche btw. Stressing yourself out over situations you can't personally effect is going to take you out.

Find something in your community to do. Start with your family.

But Carney's security clearance. His financial disclosure. He advised Trudeau. He worked in Europe. Blah blah blah...

You just want to be involved with a win. I get it, winning is great. But if you're of voting age, you probably know that winning at all costs usually hollow. And if you don't...

Quick reminder that PPs voterbase is comprised of the people who make "off colour" jokes and have a community of apologists to gaslight you into thinking detecting their bigotry means YOU are employing manipulation tactics.

Very annoyed that I slept through the Blood Moon. But that's what I get for letting a sit down turn into a lay down at 11pm.

This was "picking battles" and resting on laurels at its finest. And yeah, DF/PC played dirty. But we saw the same murky moves down south. Ya'll "progressives" are out of touch and too corporately comfortable.

About that 54.5% that didn't vote, don't get caught in the trap of blaming disabled folks for this. ONDP in my riding didn't even have a campaign. OLP just put up a couple small billboards. There were robots calls, but who tf answers those in 2025?

I got close to 100 emails from ONDP as a member.

Dear Ontario ( esp those that stayed home)
Thought you should know that Emergency Department staff actually cried last night.. How can we do four more years of hallway "medicine". Many of us won't....it is time for us to leave...for our mental and physical well-being.

Before I go, you're about to see a lot of bots and emboldened idiots yapping on social media in favour of Douglas.

Ignore them. Do not platform them by engaging with them. Especially if they're quoting disinformation.

54.5% of Ontarians didn't vote at all.

Holding onto this for Monday

Do not waste this weekend getting into nonsense conversations with people who never vote, or pc fans.

Rest

REST

BE UPSET AND DISAPPOINTED AND GRIEVE IF YOU MUST.

REST, I'll see ya'll Monday with some ideas.

Alright, Ontario. It's a bummer that we didn't get rid of Ford when we had a chance. Otherwise, today is the same as yesterday except:

* Fewer seats for the Conservatives
* Liberals regain official party status.

Total waste of an election, didn't even accomplish Ford's goal.
February 28, 2025 at 12:18 PM
I'm over it. Time for to tighten tf up. We all know which battles we picked to avoid strife. It's consequences time.
"The people have spoken"

No they haven't spoken, they fucking stayed home, which is exactly what he hoped for by calling an election with the shortest writ period ever, in the coldest and snowiest month of the year for the first time in a hundred years.
