DHL-Watch, part 73: I got a notification this morning that they were delivering the *original* consignment.
One box (of three) actually arrived (yay!), but the nice lady insisted it was the only box she had on the van.
Just got a "we missed you" notification, presumably for the remainder.

If you can believe the tracking, my long lost Fuller's delivery is now on a DHL van that claims I'm stop 3 - and even DHL can't spend the *whole* day on two deliveries and end up back in the depot still holding onto my beer, right?

Miracle of miracles, DPD worked out where I live and delivered beer!
Of course, there's still the (larger) batch from Fuller's but that's in the hands of DHL so it may never appear...

How's the code going? Well I just spend longer than I care to admit trying to work out why my app was throwing a 'not found' exception despite *also* serving the page I was expecting without a problem.

The introduction of age-verification in the UK this weekend appears to be an unmitigated disaster. Anyone accessing socials now has to upload ID, scan their face or otherwise verify. The outrage is widespread and everyone is just finding workarounds.

Can someone explain to me why coffee shops put gooey cake on top of the napkin? It's so universal, I can only assume it's part of the training, but why? It just renders the napkin useless, and sticks to the food.
