Trump wraps up a speech to military leaders that represented a major escalation of his effort to weaponize the armed forces into a tool he can use to violently quash domestic dissent. Hard to imagine how anyone with a shred of dignity can keep serving after this, which of course is the point.

They called all the generals in and the President said they’re going to be a big part of getting rid of the “enemy within” while saying “violent cities” would be training grounds for the military. I don’t feel sanguine about that.

The president just gathered the highest ranking officers in the military to tell them that he may order them to kill American citizens -- and that they better follow his orders. All in response to a series of crises that have no basis in reality.

is tidal any more ethically sound to use than spotify? i regularly listen to too wide a range of music to realistically try to just ~own it ALL on bandcamp~ so im trying to figure out a streaming service to give my money to that is just a tiny bit less evil than spotify. plz advise

it REALLY needs to be easier to talk to providers, friends, anyone about suicidality. i am lucky enough to have a few people i know will listen without like, calling the cops and disowning me. but that's not the case for a lot of folks and i can't imagine how isolating that is
It's suicide awareness month apparently, and as someone who dealt with chronic suicidality by myself throughout my 20's, I so wish it were easier to talk to mental healthcare providers about these feelings without feeling like you've said a Bad Word and now have to go through The Process.
