We were lucky enough to have our YouGov/The Economist poll in field when the US bombed Iranian nuclear facilities. You can see the partisan realignment in real time

It is fascinating the way you can take money from hungry children or disabled people without consequence, but try to limit the amount that goes to rich pensioners and everything implodes.
EXCL: No 10 rethinking its controversial winter fuel payment cut amid growing anxiety at top of government that policy could wreak serious electoral damage.

Keir Starmer’s senior team has been discussing for several weeks how to handle public anger over policy which bubbled over at local elections.

Before the election, I warned that there is no safe haven under authoritarianism.

If they can ship Kilmar Abrego Garcia to a foreign prison—accused of no crime, with no trial—they can do it to anyone.

Americans of conscience must stand against this now.

It's barely 4 years since the UK had a British-Pakistani chancellor in Downing Street, calling out to his mum in Punjabi at the Tory Party conference "mum, did you ever think we'd make it here?"

And now Jenrick is smearing the whole community from the Tory front bench

Tomorrow's Independent front page revealing Brexit's catastrophic cost - five years after the UK left the EU.

- New bureaucracy
- Weaker UK exports
- Labour shortages in key sectors
- Less cash for public services
- Huge divorce bill
- 15% long term hit to UK trade

This is the price of populism.

RIP, Jimmy Carter.

Perhaps the best post-presidency ever—he showed us the sort of person a POTUS is supposed to be.

one of the worst things about being alive and online at the moment is that we're not meant to, say, call people thick or say they got conned and deserved it, and I think that the Hawk Tuah girl crypto scam is the end of that era for me, I *want* to call these people stupid and laugh at them

A lot of Conservatives always treated Fabricant as a fun, occasionally eccentric fellow who was fundamentally alright. He’s not, and this is pathetic.
Here's Michael Fabricant, who was handed a knighthood last year by Boris Johnson for "political and public service" to the nation, sharing a racist AI-generated video posted by the far-right group Britain First

Occurred to me that while I didn’t find as much live commentary on South Korea tonight as I would have got on Twitter, I found a few great live threads from people in Seoul - as opposed to 30% news, 70% bot accounts posting slop for engagement or actively pushing disinformation. This is better.
