First booths are in for #tasvotes and the big news is that my live results system seems to be working. Huge result for the Liberals in Irishtown, FWIW (not much). Follow the action here: www.pollbludger.net/tas2025/Resu...

Eight years ago, Chips was given the opportunity to explain the 'alt-right' to The Australian's readership.

Inter alia, I discovered that Blair Cottrell was not, in fact, a neo-Nazi & Neil Erikson was just *checks notes* 'going through a phase'.

Projection: #Melbourne ALP gain from Green. Seat has been moved to expected win status.

(I tend to avoid categorically "calling" seats outside Tas when there's a lot going on but I project Bandt at 47.6 in the live count which is not recoverable.)

Still early days, but major party primary votes are so low in Werribee that practically anything could happen if whoever comes third does well on preferences.
Still nothing from Prahran, but exciting times in Werribee. Second booth less bad for Labor than the first, but in both their primary vote has collapsed. In this case though, big chunks of it go to Vic Socialists and an independent, and little to Liberal. www.pollbludger.net/2025/02/08/p...

I guess 🇦🇺 didn’t become the land of the duopoly without decades of the major parties giving vested interests what they want.

We have to start putting 🇦🇺ns first.
