Champions of Ruben Amorim’s tenure, you’ll never sing that
Only three ever-present sides picked up fewer Premier League points than Manchester United during Ruben Amorim's tenure.

The premier league won’t grow up and become a proper global sporting competition as long as PGMOL is in charge of their referees. The Clubs and their supporters deserve better but the league is largely undermined by PGMOL’s incompetence.

Followed WAFC for the 1st time last season & was rewarded with that CL win. I have got my 3 young boys watching highlight shows & a closer WPL will help keep their interest. Well done Arsenal.

I think I just need to take a moment to remember that Newcastle fans sang ‘same old Arsenal always cheating’ after having a goal disallowed for offside. Chef’s kiss, no notes.

13% of Arsenal's matches with Oliver have had a red card, how improbable is that?
13% of matches with Oliver have had a red card, how improbable is that?
It is still within the random chance range but it is an outlier that raises suspicion and doesn't inspire confidence that something fishy is happening.

One of the big things that I think is under-discussed is wages and how that is correlated with team performance. This is an area where Manchester City and Liverpool have had a major gap with Arsenal.

“Will pay any amount.”

20 years ago I knew a guy who worked part time, minimum wage, as a dishwasher.

He was able to afford rent and a car (both shitty but functional), concerts, weed, etc.

It's interesting to think of how that kind of dirtbag lifestyle is mostly just gone.

This has been really annoying me all afternoon. How can you have only four shots in the last 50 minutes and go 12 minutes at the end of a home game you need to win, against a bottom half team, without a shot? You've got to go for it at some point!
Time of Arsenal shots v Everton. Shows the sterile nature of the dominance especially in the second half:

8
10
12
17
29
43
43
46
47
57
64
75
85

You're looking to get a goal to win a match and you manage four shots from the 48th minute to the 97th.

@orbinho.bsky.social do you perchance have the top 10 teams by PL goals scored from open play in this calendar year?

Mohamed Salah has scored 42% of Liverpool's goals this season in the PL.

Erling Haaland has scored 55% of Manchester City's goals this season in the PL.

Is it sustainable to be so dependent on one player for such a big portion of a team's goals?

Forest - 5 fouls. 0 yellow cards.

We're refereed differently.
