I think we should manage local tasks like a guild mission board. If people were compensated for completing missions, we would have a better sense of community.

I think I've found a way to articulate what bothers me about the trajectory of the modern tech industry (and to some extent... society).
We are on this Earth to provide for each other. That's the "mission" of humanity as I see it.
This is incompatible with what the tech industry seeks to do.

When technology companies started advertising "cloud" services, they did a good job choosing a non-threatening name and not explaining clearly what it entails.
