i've been contacting PR for game codes for 15 years. regardless of outlet, coverage requests are about 1) building relationships of trust, and 2) being friendly/chill. i explain what i'm hoping for/that i realize the answer can be no. every "i understand, thanks anyway" is groundwork for yes later.
Why this needs to be said EVERY launch cycle is beyond me, but here we are... time to educate!

I played Metroid prime 4 as well and my criticism is that shooting in it feels like it did in the other prime games even with two analog sticks (like it did in the prime remaster). I didn’t play enough of that game to know whether the sidekick will be annoying Cortana or an exposition generator 🤷

in the last 24 hours playstation has announced a mobile ratchet shooter and a mobile-first horizon MMO which is one more game than the number of internally developed exclusives they released this year (and the same as the number of games playstation published on xbox this year). the war is over.
Valve and Microsoft are partners who make tons of money off of each other. It's not going to be some 'war'

if you've got the resources and the need, right now is about as good a time to buy a graphics card as you're likely to see for quite some time (maaaaaybe sales will drive things down for black friday, but most places are already running black friday pricing today). next year looks rough.

The two things that would keep my expectations for the new Steam machine in check are memory bandwidth and TDP. Expecting it to beat a ps5 pro with a fraction of the effective memory bandwidth and like half the power draw is not realistic. It’s not a cutting edge fab upgrade.
