A remarkable statistic from @gregorynorminton.bsky.social for those residing in the UK and struggling under excessive energy prices I'd think this question of pegging energy price irrelevantly to the gas price should be asked of your MPs.

Blustery day, isn't it? Here's the National Grid: Live generation data. Wind and solar are generating 74.2% of our electricity. Gas is generating 13.1%. And yet our household electricity prices are pegged to... the volatile price of gas. Which is the basis on which the right attacks... renewables.

Very relaxing well edited story-telling. Wonderful for Avgeeks but for general interest too with National geographic style cultural and regional content included.

Steve’s stuff is always broadcast level but this new series takes it to 11. Definitely worth a watch.
