ICE/CPB thugs tackled a nonverbal autistic man outside a Family Dollar in Chicago’s Little Village claiming he was “noncompliant.”

Witnesses begged them to stop. “Why they beating up this special boy?” one worker cried. “He comes in every day for a treat. He has the mind of a child.” 🤬🤬🤬

Last night, Illinois passed two of the biggest pro-climate laws of 2025

In the final day of session, lawmakers voted for $1.5B in annual transit funding and passed the Clean & Reliable Grid Act

By passing these pro-affordability, pro-climate bills, they've shown what’s possible when states lead 🧵

I wanted to offer some thoughts on the Gates climate memo that has been circulating this week. While I can't directly speak for others, I can say that my own response is one of dismay & deep frustration (and that this view is shared by many climate/Earth scientists). [1/n]

The world might be pulling back on climate truth: but I'm stepping it up.

How? I'm adding new videos, deep dives & behind-the-scenes stories to Talking Climate.

Why? Because climate honesty and hope matter more than ever right now.

Had an unfortunate experience last night around 11 30pm. Biking through Uptown hear "fireworks" only for a 15/16 yo woman to run out screaming she's been shot. I helped her to the firehouse at Wilson and Racine but called 911 and got no response. Not acceptable! OEMC, City, CPD not doing their job!
