Here is the text of the new continuing resolution, or stopgap spending bill. It would fund the government through Jan. 30. It also includes language reinstating employees who were RIF'd during the shutdown.

On SNAP, Senate Dems say the funding bill that's been released today fully funds all mandatory nutrition programs for fiscal 2026 including SNAP, the School Lunch Program, the School Breakfast Program, and Summer EBT; also fully funds WIC w/$8.2 billion, a $603 million increase over fy 2025.

SHUTDOWN SUNDAY IN THE US SENATE: The Republican caucus will meet at 12:30 and the chamber at 1:30. There seem to be some hopes there might be a vote on legislation, something like several approps bills plus a stopgap spending bill. So far the Senate has voted 14 times on the House-passed bill.
