just submitted my choices for the first show I've ever juried.
it's an honor to get to do it, and to see the work people have submitted, and I thought about each piece seriously and how it related to the theme, but I feel bad about each piece I didn't pick because I am soft inside.

My neighbors just up the street from us own A-squared pizza in Charlottesville, and their youngest was recently diagnosed with leukemia.
Their family is really nice, and this is a huge bummer right before the holidays. A GoFundMe has been set up for the family to help with everything.

Had an odd moment of connection just now. I had to cobble something together, and out of a sea of blog posts the one that was most useful was written by someone that lives here in my town.
