if you see a ridiculously elaborate sign after something cool happens at inter&co, i’m probably holding it
I’m getting the league and Berman’s effectiveness explained to me by the same man who argued with me that Eddy had a point and this is why I wish more people kept up with media so I’m not the only one calling him an asshole in more specific terms

Berman Reflection Room has some meme potential this NWSL championship weekend

I really just need to quit my job because I get so stressed about worrying about every word i say being a potential issue in the only topic I enjoy getting into anymore. Especially lately.

references the time slot and the heat delay but fails to acknowledge the player who was hurt as a result, the same one she failed to protect from rhetoric when it mattered, the one the league uses to market, doesn’t mention they changed the policy to remove medical advice, changing it for the worse.
#NWSL Championship week is underway, so here’s the rest from my chat with Jessica Berman

The league is clearly at an inflection point, which forces the question - were 2025’s hardships merely growing pains or signs that a course correction is in order?

The NWSL has enjoyed another year of growth, but the league has also had to contend with several unexpected events around player welfare

and the league has yet to treat them otherwise. US soccer has yet to treat them otherwise. i’m over it.
"We have one star."

“…and she is the only VP/GM I’ve ever seen picking up cones during pre-game warmups”

in case everyone is wondering why none of us are coping well, this is the kinda thing that is on the way out. i barely know what half the NWSL GMs look like and Haley was very VERY approachable

there is nothing good happening lately and i’m so tired of people not grasping why we are so constantly frustrated that our team has potential stars but the fed is choosing to play out of position rather than pick the easiest left back option possible.
I probably need a break from woso media, I really should not care this much, it is not healthy.

no abello when playing in orlando is actually insulting to me. we are playing right backs on the left. orlando was the only team emma didn’t watch play last season. this is why our fans are so unhinged because how do you do the absolute least to include one person who doesn’t even play much.
November 19, 2025 at 4:26 PM
i think i preferred it when i experienced somewhat okay amounts of joy instead of a consistent amount of it because i'd forgotten what it was like to come back down to earth
November 19, 2025 at 5:42 AM
ain’t no way orlando is going to keep alex freeman. guy is making me care about two different mens teams in one year since the last time we hosted a world cup

me when i’m unhinged
She is the epitome of why nothing has changed since the purported league reckoning after 2021. She'll get another soccer job if she wants one but she shouldn't.

going for a role in washington doesn’t feel likely because she’s a fixer and they aren’t broken unless i’ve always been wrong about everything. chicago seems more likely, or houston
November 18, 2025 at 9:41 PM
the only way i was going to be at peace with haley leaving is if they hired her to replace berman so i had better see that happen eventually

i fucking knew this was coming

Beginning Monday, a Frozen Peppermint Hot Chocolate drink will be available exclusively at Starbucks cafés inside Target stores.

The chains are hoping the drink can drum up excitement from customers this holiday season.

the footage after the goal just reminded me about how much time the broadcasters spent filming them on the pitch while we were trying to set up for a kickoff and i guess nobody was allowed to even tell them no

ovalle visibly took the loss hard because of the foul and a lot of people expressed frustration with the foul, but, man. you can’t say she didn’t put in a shift.

Forgive me if we all discussed this already years ago, but when musk paid $44B for twitter, was that number meant as a dogwhistle?
November 18, 2025 at 1:31 AM
what sucks is that they will probably pay rodman anything to keep her there, but that’s a roster full of players they’ve built that can’t get decent raises for balling out, tough choices would have to be made, the team would have to rebuild quality as a consequence for… winning?
