I never post personal stuff here, but I can’t help but share that the chess world lost a great man on Monday. Grandmaster Daniel Naroditsky made me a better player and a better educator. Never before has the death of a public figure made me weep like this. He was 29. May his memory be a blessing.

2 days ago I learned that the inventor of the jello-shot, the guy who wrote “We Will All Go Together When We Go,” and the guy who pronounced political satire obsolete when H*nry K*ssinger won the Nobel Prize were all the same man and then today he died. What kind of sick joke is this.

Gandhi didn’t march to the sea to demonstrate and appease. He did it to order millions of Indian people to openly break British salt laws, get arrested, and overwhelm the carceral system until the law was changed.
