We are seeing in real time why DC needs the full power and protection of statehood.

Deploying the National Guard to a state without a request from state leaders is unlawful.

The fact that he could do it in the capital city is a massive vulnerability to our entire national democracy.
DC statehood shows Dem weakness goes back a while.

Occasional lip service, but barely even that, and effectively took the stance that hundreds of thousands of US citizens should be disenfranchised because it’s unfair that they’d elect Dem Senators, which would make the Senate less disproportionate.

ProPublica obtained records showing how a DOGE software engineer with no health care or government experience created an AI model to identify contracts to kill at the VA.

@bxroberts.org‬ takes us through what we learned when we asked experts to review the model’s underlying instructions and code ⤵️

We've been supposed to wait until AI gets good while it destroys everything in the meantime? What happened to testing your product to make sure it's good before you roll it out. In this case a product no one needs or wants.
wait, so we are all supposed to sit back and accept the anti-humanity, banality and anti-labor nature of how AI is accepted in the hopes that
a) it MIGHT get better and stop making things up and making monstrous "art" built on large scale theft,
b) that the costs MIGHT go down?
It's strange to look at the early applications of a technology in the midst of a exponential breakout in utility and to say, definitively, this is all it will be and all it can do. And this is what it will cost forever.

KEEP CALLING. PEEL OFF ALL DEM SENATORS YOU CAN.

☎️: (202) 224-3121

Tell them to vote NO on Cloture and NO on CR. Vote is pushed to after 1:15ish for now. Situation is fluid.

The only public YES votes are Schumer and Fetterman. They need 7-8 total. KEEP CALLING.

Call retiring Senators too!
