I can relate. People assumed I was a yoga teacher until I told them what I do.

Also I’m not immune to mansplaining.

“If coverage systematically tilts toward some groups over others, that doesn’t just affect individual careers—it can reinforce stereotypes about who ‘looks like’ a scientist.”

Hey @springer1842.bsky.social @elsevierconnect.bsky.social @routledgehistory.bsky.social @sagepub.com now would be a real good time to take down paywalls & abolish publication fees. You know, let the science & history & philosophy flow to the people.

genuinely funny conservative fetishize the founders so much when THE crisis they were most worried about was the executive taking away legislative perogatives, charles II style. that's why the first constitution didn't even have a chief executive! that shit freaked them out
the Federalist papers describe at length the Founders’ efforts to avoid what’s literally happening right now

The devil's hairdryer be gone!
BAN THEM EVERYWHERE

LOAD THEM INTO A STEEL TOMB AND FIRE THEM INTO THE VOID OF SPACE

LET A DISTANT BLACK HOLE CONSUME THESE WRETCHED MACHINES AND THOSE WHO USE THEM INCESSANTLY
It's happening.

Congrats to people of PDX.

Currently coasting along on this app with 4 followers and a feed full of nature photos.🪶🪹⛰️🌻 Every time I take a peek back at that other place ( ❌ ) I'm reminded of the importance of careful feed curation. I think I will keep it this way.
