Managing #multimorbidity (two or more chronic health conditions) is one of the biggest challenges in healthcare today. It affects daily life, mental wellbeing, and overall functioning.

More often than you might think, I hear on the street, on TV, and read in newspapers that people with osteoarthritis should refrain from exercise therapy due to the 'damage' it may cause to the cartilage.

It does not really seem to be the case 👇

In adults with at least one chronic disease, anti-inflammatory diets lead to small improvements in physical component HRQOL, which may not be clinically relevant. No effect was found on the mental component or general HRQOL. Further high-quality RCTs may change this conclusion.

In 2021 we found that exercise therapy may be a promising solution also for patients with multiple chronic conditions.

After a few years of work, we now know so much more about it and can’t wait to share the whole story.
