Still a work in progress “autoalgia”
I am proposing chronic pain may be similar to autoimmune, and allergy responses, but occurring in the nociceptive system.

People don’t know what they don’t know.

Even clinicians use technical words in lay terms.

Formal tissue healing is well defined, yet clinicians use the term “healing” loosely to mean resolution of a condition even in the absence or presence of formal tissue healing

If you teach courses, what data do you have that YOUR courses have any effect on the participants and that this effect translates to a better clinical effect?

Lots of talk about neuro- immune crosstalk being a possible cause of chronic pain. In 2018 I hypothesized “autoalgia” similar to autoimmune but of the nociceptive system.

Maybe I’m not a numpty after all? ( no I am 😂)

Ponderance

Maybe there isn’t just one mechanism of disc causing symptoms.

Deforming
Cracking
Ripping
Bulging
“Ejaculating” (extruding, sequestration”)

Symptoms depend on rate of load application & tissue stress x time.
