Noticing an interesting anti-pattern on BluSky - folks want to share longer text, so they take a screenshot. This could be another post, or a note, whatever. Then to make the text searchable / readable, the text is copied into the Alt Text.

So yay, accessible! But boo. Just have longer posts.

Sketch has been almost unusable for me since its last update. Constantly crashing and losing work. It's crashed twice this morning while resizing images.

Apple Messages (on macOS) just beach-balled while performing the resource intensive task of accepting text input while I typed. Maybe Tim Apple should go back to making printers.

I'm getting back into NextJS after a long hiatus. (work has had me in PHP land for a while)

Getting my head around caching, server actions, server and client components has taken a minute, but I think I'm back in the game now.

I used to joke "friends don't let friends use Wordpress" because the platform is incredibly dated and tends to evolve into a coral reef of poor decisions.

But you know what? You could do a lot worse than a freebie website on word press dot com. At least it's open source.
