I can't believe I went straight from this to a post about my transformative reading of American Psycho, I'm going to close the internet for a bit and have some wine now.

I am sick and tired of UK politicians' ill-informed crusade to make the UK the least safe place to go online, and the weak link in the global Internet.

Oh I think it's absolutely the bit everyone threading it into everything is most excited about - whether it's that the penny hasn't dropped for them that it DOES (or, could) still exist, or that they know it isn't understood by the mass audience is the bit I'm not 100% on...

It is exhausting, I worry that it's being taken as representing so many more people than it clearly does...

Same, although I am frustrated that it's Facebook where it seems to be common knowledge that one can just join in, and not, say, here...

It's a market research organisation that does a ton of polling on topical / news / politics things, and its results often define "public opinion" in the media (in the UK, anyway), despite the fact that it's often not a lot of people...and also not something many know you can just participate in.

I don't know that I can convince P to revisit the existential lengthy Russian film even with snacks any time soon! Also I know what happens so it might be difficult to discuss XD But the theory is good! At the very least I will want to discuss with you have seen though (unless you hate it!)...

I hope the work that I saw that cared for, and housed, and supported veterans continues, somewhere, in more suitable accommodation, of course I do. But that remembrance I have is a profound disturbance. It's horror, incommunicable horror.
