Hello, Bluesky app.
I’ll kick off my first post with introducing Ethos created by Nabihah Ahmad.

This website features Black, Muslim, Pakistani, South Asian, & other owned shops. Ethos has caution labels to help guide you through ethical shopping.

I am working on a project that looks at the pattern of gendered difference within the rise of individualism after COVID & one thing of importance is that in males it led to more alt-right beliefs and for women it led to the fall of social-rewards of motherhood & the rise of tertiary education.

Ahh, yes. Nothing screams drastic irony like McDonald’s on a private jet while shouting “make America healthy again”.

Classy.

fascism is stopped when enough people say one of two things:
1) "nah, I'm not doing that"
2) "nah, you're not doing that"

a lot of people want to imagine how they'll say the second thing, but you should *really* start practicing the first one

You can surround yourself with diverse perspectives without having to listen to someone tell you that your existence should be illegal. It’s okay to expect “give everyone human rights” to be a baseline of agreement.

Just to be clear: the incoming Trump administration is going to war against their own Republican senate majority and the constitution's advice and consent provision so they can make a man investigated for ***sex trafficking a minor*** into the most powerful law enforcement officer in the country.

Matt Gaetz resigned from Congress today, two days before the House Ethics Committee was set to vote on releasing a “highly damaging” report about sexual misconduct, illicit drug use, and improper gifts.

The Ethics Committee loses jurisdiction over Gaetz once he leaves Congress.

We told you what he said he was going to do.

So don't act surprised that he's already doing what he said he was going to do.

I think we use the word “disqualifying” a little too freely but any Democrat voting to give Donald Trump more power for the next four years? After all that shit they said about him being authoritarian? You’re giving him more power? Voting yes? Idk man I think we can lose all these jokers.
My apologies for the terrible formatting on this.

Your 52 Democrats yeses to pass a bill that would allow Trump to crack down on nonprofits:

So is Trump creating a new government agency to be headed by Musk and Vivek, or is this some kind of informal arrangement? Is this a position that requires confirmation? A budget? Staff? Is there oversight? Do ethics and disclosure rules apply? Like outside political activity?
