Reminder: tube feeding for the treatment of dementia is nonbeneficial.

Yes, this is counter-intuitive.

But it's been established for decades.

Evidence & guidelines indicate that tube feeding doesn't prolong survival or confer clinical benefit.

Toronto this weekend looks like a scene right out of a Villeneuve movie. Easy on the eyes, rough on the lungs.

Always add that second carb imo
Ultimate biryani war: to potato or not to potato, that is the question.
I wish BlueSky could have more of a global audience so we can have more food wars.

I have experience in the jollof wars and the great gumbo skirmish of 2021

as a pedestrian, i hate cyclists because sometimes they’re assholes and they almost hit me with their bikes. that’s why i support any measure that cuts down on cycling and forces those same assholes to use a 3,000 lb killing machine instead.

fantastic investigator thread about delving deeper into the BALANCE trial (7 vs 14 day antibiotics for bacteremia) to look for heterogeneity of treatment effect 😁

I was allready a BALANCE trial fanboy… this analysis makes it even more appealing. #EMIMCC
Excited to share our newest paper from my PhD: a post-hoc analysis of the BALANCE trial where we explored heterogeneity of treatment effect (HTE) in duration of antibiotic treatment for patients with bloodstream infection. A thread:

S2E8 of Severance, and yet neither I nor the show seem to have any idea where the story is going. Existing for the sake of itself

a proper investment in healthcare would look like doctors seeing 10 to 12 patients a day instead of 20-40. People don’t trust doctors for many reasons but one common factor is they do not feel like the doctor is listening, which is extremely hard to do in such short visits. AI won’t help.

Sounds like then everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked
The first footage from ‘AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH’ shown at #CinemaCon shows the kids meeting the Wind Traders who travel through the air. They are then attacked by the Ash People who live around volcanos.

They’re throwing away a cure for cancer.

I love the PITT but this scene requires correction

A patient develops angioedema after stroke thrombolysis

To intubate or not to intubate?

Someone saves the day with epinephrine.

Can you see the error? (#1/3) #EMIMCC

The modern conservative playbook. There is no need for the stated reasons to have any relationship with reality. The tariffs aren't about fentanyl and removing the bike lanes isn't about congestion.
