A voicemail I received after demanding answers from Tom Homan last week. There are many more like this.

As Trump fails to deliver for the working class, all his movement has left is cruelty and division. It’s up to us to offer courage instead.

NEW today from @miamiherald.com: more men sent to El Salvador on Saturday have been identified by their families, including a 27-year-old who entered legally at a port of entry in 2023 through the CBP One app and a 29-year-old father of a baby born here last year. Neither have any criminal record.

The legal rationale for Mr. Khalil's ICE arrest has been public for days know, and I know for a fact that Schumer's staff is aware of it, and so he should be aware of it too, so he's either not listening to his staff or deliberately playing dumb here.
Here are Schumer’s responses on Columbia and Khalil:

Judge Alsup "rejects" the government's attempt to use "press releases" to say that agencies made these decisions with no direction from OPM.

The TRO will be extended. Additionally, the VA must offer reinstatement to all fired probationary employees. Terminations were "unlawful," court finds.

My fear is we're struggling against a force that is not just amoral, but truly, genuinely, evil.
Individual Border Patrol agents knew they were doing this, and a supervisor signed off on it.

If I'm following, last night Trump responded to Ontario's electric tariff by saying he'd just add more tariffs on April 2. Having not gotten everything he wanted in, oh, 10 hours, he's now announcing new tariffs tomorrow
New tariffs just dropped, Ontario is absolutely going to cut off the northeast grid y'all.

Most of the faculty watching what's unfolding on their campuses think they're among the good ones and are saddened and outraged by what their colleagues are doing. Very few are doing anything in response. They aren't, in fact, the good ones; they're a key part of the repressive apparatus.

This will, once again, result in people dying.

We already have seen a reduction in radiosonde launches at the NWS offices in Albany and Gray, which will increase error in all of our NWP and AIWP models. That will get worse with more RIF.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the nation’s premier agency for weather and climate science, is set to lose another 1,000 workers under the Trump administration’s downsizing of the federal government.

Together with recent firings and resignations, the new cuts could hamper the National Weather Service’s ability to produce lifesaving forecasts, scientists say.

Experienced cost cutting folks existed in the government through USDS and 18F. They couldn't handle that they're reinventing the wheel (and doing it worse). Typical Silicon Valley mentality.
One way you can tell that DOGE is not doing what they claim they are, modernizing tech or finding waste, is bc Trump and DOGE have ousted 3 entities who ALREADY WERE DOING THAT. @donmoyn.bsky.social describes two here, USDS and 18F.

The third are the IGs.

Assuming this email takes 15 minutes, and assuming this is actually impacting all 2 million employees (not sure we know how many have been cut at this point), this costs $26.7m each week, or $1.39b each year based on average federal salaries, ~$855m a day considering days worked/year.
No one at DOGE is going to be personally reviewing 2 million emails about what people did each week. Everyone in the government already has a supervisor they report to. This is a transparent effort to manufacture reasons to fire people because their Fork offer got low results.
