If Democrats, who are winning heavily in public opinion now, cave without a significant extension of healthcare, they signal they have no power in Congress and are unfit to represent their constituents. The devastation of the healthcare system will be far more catastrophic than the shutdown.

Thankful for inflatable frogs & unicorns reminding me to fight with love because when fear & anger overtake us, we become exactly what we purport to fight. (Israel suffered terrible pain & gave in to anger) But a state is not the same as its individual people. NYC knows it. Our youth still believes.

I cannot emphasize enough that the current Congressional Democrats represent more citizens in their districts than the Congressional Republicans despite them holding the majority. We are a Republic, yes, but WE are also the majority.
