You will always find me in the kitchen at parties, even if I haven’t been invited.
Sweet mercy, these are good!

Incidentally, a mutual appreciation of Muppets Christmas Carol was how I met my wife over 30 years ago.
Pre-orders have gone up on the FB page! We got T-shirts, jumpers, and even a christmas card. We're also trying out Mousemats for those of us that are permanently infront of a screen! Based on Struzans Muppets Christmas Carol poster, with a "robot cars" twist. :P Lmk if you want any?(UK only, sadly!)

It always makes me sad when Facebook shows me my “On this day in history” things, and it includes someone who has passed way.

12 years ago today since Jim Bowen sent me loads of signed stuff. I had interviewed him a week or so earlier. He was such a lovely, quietly spoken, humble man.

I’m so tired. I’ve had a week off work just to use up holidays, and I feel like I haven’t stopped.

I think I need a few more 10p coins.

Are you good at solving puzzles?

I’ve made this and I’m interested to see if anyone can solve it and follow the instruction it presents.

Details are on my personal site.

Went to Cha-ology in Manchester this afternoon for our 30th wedding anniversary meal. Such a lovely experience. Exquisite food, many different teas, and knowledgeable hosts.

These Matcha and Hojicha chocolates were the final course.

Couldn’t have asked for a better evening.

While the SAM Coupe had Manic Miner we didn't have JSW, or JSW2 - my fav! ☹️ So I had to design, code and publish my own games in the same style! 😃 'Money Bags' spanned 3 games over the years. MB1 and 1 1/2 now feature with SAM Revival. Updated re-release of MB2 coming soon.

Do you ever look down at your own legs and think, yeah, these are great. I could walk ANYWHERE with these bad boys. Steps, paths, corridors, fields, ladders… I could walk up, through, over and down them all.

Anyone have any experience with the Rodecaster Pro 1 or 2 for live streaming and podcasting.

I've been using a Behringer USB mixer to have my mics go into the PC but it's problematic.

They're expensive so would be a while before I got one if I did.... Keen to hear from people with experience.

This book is 41 years old, and I’ve still not typed in every program yet.

If I’d have got this in the late 80s, it’s all I would have played. There are no bad titles on it, and they’re all the 128k versions, except for Finders Keepers.

Glorious!

Pre-ordered a book for myself a few months ago, and it arrived today.

A quick glance through has left me smiling. #Ayoade It’s a genius, albeit an incredibly self-conscious one.

Man, I loved Alexei Sayle’s shows. Incidentally, he was one of the judges when I was on BBC Genius with Dave Gorman, along with Tim Minchin. They couldn’t have got a better couple of judges.

(Shame my brief talking bit got cut, but I’m still on screen chair dancing a bit if you’re bored.)
Alexei Sayle's Stuff (19th October 1989). A lot more work goes into the production of each episode of Stuff than you might expect.

The young bucks will shrug their shoulders at this but for old dicks like me, this is enormous for two reasons.

Firstly, this was the first console war. This new console is the equivalent of Nintendo acquiring Sega, then releasing its own Master System.

You should all treat yourself to one too. Go on, buy yourself a present. You’re the best, and you’re defo worth it.

Remember these cassettes from the early 80s?

Which did you use? (to store legitimate backups of games you definitely weren’t pirating illegally.)

I found some sunglasses earlier, so I tried them on and now everything looks funny.

Also, why have my work colleagues not got proper faces any more?

Annual selfie with @gamesyouloved.bsky.social at Play Expo Blackpool. I don’t usually look this happy in photos, but just before taking the photo, I struck my usual pose and Chris said “Come on, smile dude” which greatly amused me!
