It's been day. A rough day.
This summer 3 of my favourite dog friends crossed over the rainbow bridge and 5 of my human friends died as well, which just recently and suddenly includes one of my most favourite humans. I am heart broken. I am sad and it's difficult to reconcile to this new reality.

Another not-clam fact: Juliidae snails have a hinged shell like clams, entirely by convergent evolution! For ~100 yrs they were only known from fossils and assumed to be clams! The commonality of the hinged form makes me hope there are clamlike aliens out there, waiting to make 1st contact (240)
