🚨 The Border, Security, Asylum and Immigration Bill is now law.

It undermines international obligations and threatens the safety and dignity of people fleeing conflict and persecution.

We refuse to accept a future where compassion is criminalised.

🚨 Today, Campsfield detention centre in Oxfordshire re-opened.

This is a dangerous step in the wrong direction.

Increasing detention capacity across the UK is an increase in harm and suffering.

👏🎉For every hateful post by Elon Musk, donations are made to charities who stand for everything he is against.

And his hate has raised an incredible £100k!

This is people power. This is compassion. This is who we are.

It's the #16DaysOfActivism to end violence against women and girls.

This year, the theme is digital violence.📱💻

Digital violence can take many forms, including online harassment, stalking, deepfakes, hate speech, disinformation - and much more.

This harms us all.

Earlier this week, we attended an important event hosted by the #LiftTheBan coalition on the right to work for people seeking safety.

The event - just a week after shocking announcements to reform the asylum system, including the dangerous weaponisation of work - was more vital than ever.

📣 Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls and the start of the #16DaysofActivism.

No one should flee violence and abuse only to face further harm on their journeys to safety or again in the UK.

But this is the reality for many refugee women.

Let’s be clear: the only thing dividing our country is a politics devoid of humanity and compassion.

As we anxiously wait for Monday’s announcement, we have just one thing to say:

Hostile polices cost lives. For those seeking safety here, these policies represent more cruelty, more anxiety, and more uncertainty.

Nobody leaves their home unless they have to.

There are so many reasons the work ban has to end - and this is one of the most important ones.

The good news is, pressure to end this unjust and illogical ban is building. Add your voice now, and tell the Government it's time to let people work:

‼️ Most people seeking safety in the UK are banned from working.

This traps people in poverty, long periods of inactivity, and wastes their skills.

This policy is nonsensical.
