Way to go, Philadelphia! The city has introduced new legislation putting real limits on ICE activity. Federal agents will no longer be allowed to operate anonymously no masks, visible identification required, and arrests must be backed by warrants signed by a federal judge.

At the very least, Senate Democrats must use their leverage to disarm ICE, prohibit it from using racial or ethnic profiling, end arrest quotas, and remove agents’ immunity from criminal prosecution and civil lawsuits.

“Seattle’s total narrowly edged out New York City, which produced 14,240 affordable apartments in the same time period from 2020 to 2024, and Austin, Texas, which produced 13,342.”
The Seattle area produced the most affordable housing in the nation, with more than 24,000 new income-restricted apartments over the last decade. New revenue streams helped the region get there, but more affordable housing is still needed.
