Beyond renewable energy, I hope this is how we solve our petroleum/fossil fuel/plastics problem. Imagine GMOs that produce raw materials at industrial scale out of sunlight and water, bespoke polymers with their own enzyme counterparts to break them down. Graphene for miles.
