Rob Jetten (in English) about his triumph:

"We've now shown to the rest of Europe and the world that it is possible to beat a populist movement if you campaign with a positive message for your country."
D66 has officially won the snap elections in the Netherlands.

With nearly all votes counted, the far-right PVV of Geert Wilders no longer has a chance at overtaking the D66 led by Rob Jetten. He’s now in pole position for PM.

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

For my Year 1 lecture course this year, I used AI to produce an audio podcast to support student learning. I was amazed how listenable it was, and how broadly accurate it turned out to be. In this thread, I talk through the process I used to make the podcast.

Proud northerner. Hater of flogging. Legit brilliant commander and Nelson's trusted right hand. First into battle on Royal Sovereign. Took charge after Nelson was sniped and saved the British Fleet.
