The racism comes into play because out of NINETY physicians, no one was brave enough to do the right thing and end her pregnancy?? Deal with the backlash when/if it comes, but to rest solidly in fear as an excuse for complacency is unacceptable.

This story firmly rest at the intersection of sexism, racism, misogynoir, and religiously influenced healthcare. No one should have to go through this but we let this country overturn our right to privacy, in the interest of fetuses no one really cares about.

I think something that really made the idea of not spanking kids real for me was seeing how it can really manifest into a generational curse.
