Gosh, who could possibly access internal documents used by the Conservative Party of Canada to vet candidates?

What ne'er-do-well would have the opportunity *and* motive to leak sensitive information about an MP such as Jamil Jivani?

Looks who's back? MAGA Pete Hoekstra.
Working with the Swedes on building Gripen fighter jets looks better all the time.
BTW Pete could you tell us if you have any knowledge of the $500 Mil slush fund offered to Alberta separatists?

Great points. And actually with concerns here in 🇨🇦 about inequality, polarization, and austerity budgets, have been often making point to others that Finland’s approach to security + societal resilience explicitly includes progressive taxation, income redistribution, strong social programs, etc.

YES. It's the social contract. #Finland is generally a pretty good deal to Finns; that is CRUCIAL for the willingness to defend it!

Sadly, we've been governed too often by greedy people who understand the price of everything, but value of nothing.

Appreciate @nationalobserver.com underlining the threat these lawsuits pose to our democracy:

“One way to help preserve an independent media is to protect them from vindictive US-style lawsuits… we must be free to report fairly without the threat of expensive lawsuits designed solely to shut us up”
Alberta lawsuit is trying to silence the messenger
Former UCP candidate Caylan Ford's scattergun defamation lawsuit against the media and others sends a free press chill through Alberta

genuinely crazy-making how much the national press is indifferent to the verifiable fact that jd vance is buddy buddy with internet nazis, and the degree to which this is almost certainly a form of solidarity among people with a similar institution pedigree
mainstream media report on jd vance’s twitter mutuals, challenge level: impossible
He has already chosen, what the fuck are we doing here

This. That’s why I’ve tried to say since 2016 that Europe must wake up. Democracy is threatened.
I think the danger is someone else more competent will emerge in years to come. Not a Trump 2.0 but summoning and binding the same dark forces but to greater effect.

That means in 2025, this extremely contagious disease spread consistently in our country for the first time since 1998.

This was preventable, which makes it embarrassing -- in more ways than you might realize:

More than that, countries broadly following the (Nordic) Social Democratic model are at or very near the top of practically every measurement of societal achievement _ever devised_.

All measurements have issues and any one statistic could be flawed.

But when they all point to the same direction…
Finland tops the global happiness index, which suggests that other countries should use it as a model.

Yes, really.
