Fwiw, my first KOTOR1 character took no points in any force talents and dual-wielded conventional swords and considered the Jedi a bunch of contemptible asshats, and it made the twist that I had not been spoiled on *so much better*.
(But, of course, that is *also* a Jedi story.)
