I've been reading Code The Classics
magpi.raspberrypi.com/books/code-t...

Volume 2 is now also available.

I've started work on a new version of my favourite Atari 2600 game. Combat.

Maybe I'll be done in time for the 50th Anniversay in 2027

Starmer: OK Listen. I've an idea.

Lammy: This'll be good.

Starmer: Refugees right? While waiting for leave to remain. Are only allowed to vote for Reform.

Mahmood: That'll be 20 years? Won't that be good for Reform and bad for Labour?

Starmer: Will it?

Mahmood: Oh 4d Chess. Nice one Gaffer.

I think we can all agree that pouring soup on a painting behind some protective glass is exactly equivalent to pouring hundreds of millions of gallons of oil into the see, killing wildlife and destroying livelihoods.

So the just stop oil criminals should be punished like oil CEOs

Give them $$$$$$$

Labour are evil but at least they’re not Reform.

To

Labour are evil, they might as well be Reform.

My own study suggests that anxiety rewires the brain to eliminate deep sleep.

I didn’t get to see the game because …helping kids study’s

But you have to hand it to Troy Parrot

5 goals in 2 games to drag Ireland into a playoff they had no right to expect.

This beats any one off magic from Houghton or Keane or Duff.

It’s staggering.

Delighted for him.

Dear Universe,

Please show me a metaphor for the governance of the UK, that’s so on the nose nobody would believe it if it were a movie.

The most tiresome thing about the whole Trump era is the endless stream of people who can’t seem to grasp that he will never be punished. Never be ousted.

They keep going on about his lies and crimes as if that will bring him down.

His lies and crimes are why he succeeded.

Minidisc deserves a revival far more than vinyl. It just doesn’t have enough people with nostalgia to sell it.

For anyone trying to cut ties with streaming Minidisc beats vinyl for reliability and convenience. And it beats CDs and Tape for portability.

We’ve fallen a Looong way from the great days of May, generating 60kWh.

Not unusual to be 90% less this month.

Combined with the heating and other electricity use being higher.

I start reading and think The US really has gone completely.

Then slowly realise it’s not the US.
If the government really intends to seize jewellery and other valuables from refugees,
either
- it is staggeringly ignorant of the historical precedents
or
- it's aware of the precedents, and thinks, yeah, we'll have some of that.

I remember when this box set came out. I used to go to the record shop and look at it on the top shelf behind the counter. The vinyl version.

I can’t remember what it cost but it seemed like a fortune.

I had just bought my first LP. Born in the USA.

I’ve was always curious about the cover of Making Movies.

It was only when I got it on vinyl that I realised the inner sleeve matches the illustration on the cover.

Long after vinyl finally dies that album art will be around.

This suggests that far from using tariffs to improve the lives of Americans.

He used them to pay for a Ballroom.

That he claimed was being paid for by Donations.
...and this would be a bad thing, why???

Dammit.

Somebody recently pointed out that America is built on an old Indian burial ground. And that might explain why it’s cursed.

And I can’t find their post to give them credit.

But that’s been stuck in my head for a while now.

Jesus Christ they’re so bad at politics.

Doing the right thing can sometimes be unpopular.

Doing the wrong thing can cause long term damage.

They keep finding ways of combining long term damage with short term unpopularity.

I’m a Liverpool fan.
I don’t buy this idea that they were robbed of the VVD goal last week.

It was a rehearsed set piece.

So either he messed up what they rehearsed and was offside.

OR

The set piece involved him being offside and hoping to get away with “not being involved”

Both stupid.

The next Democrat president if there ever is one, should demolish the ballroom on literally day one. Like diggers ready as the inauguration is happening.

Reinstate the Rise Garden.

Rebuild the East Wing.

Demolish any monument or statue erected in the next few years.

The symbolism matters.

Why do some parents bring students to parent teacher meetings?
November 13, 2025 at 5:08 PM
Point: Old cassette players weren't reliable.

Counter-Point: They probably still work, maybe need a new belt. That little black mirror you run spotify on cost hundreds (maybe a thousand euro or more), and you'll buy a new one in 3 years for even more.
