Total freedom to come up with a map for the next volume in the COIN Series: The Ōnin War, Muromachi Japan.

A game by Joe Dewhurst.

The Christmas gift from my daughter.

One of wonderful aspects of loving in France is the unmitigated love you feel here for old books and vintage prints. There are second-hand/specialty booksellers almost everywhere.

The typefaces alone in this volume are absolutely gorgeous.

Outstanding support and encouragement from @playersaidblog.bsky.social for the the Old Northwest series by High Flying Dice Games. If anyone has pushed me to continue the series, it's really Grant and Alexander.

Special mention to @wetlir.bsky.social for all the help and additional research. 🎯

There's a special quality to Stuart's insightful reviews that shines through, most likely the very enjoyable and personal musings as he comes to grips with Solitaire designs. A joy to read.

High drama on the road to Tango-2:

With the third episode, @letsplayhistory.bsky.social brings us to turn 11 in his ongoing playthrough of Operation Bøllebank.

A Solitaire game on the Danish peacekeepers in Bosnia, April 1994.

@snafustore.bsky.social
In April 1994, Danish Leopards rushed south from Tuzla to relief Swedish forces at outpost Tango-2 which were under fire by Bosnian Serbs. They ran into a night ambush.

Can we get through?

Bogged down, for the past few days, in the minutiae of rules editing. Always an ambivalent moment, no?You don't advance on *anything* else as your thoughts are constantly wrapped around modifications and cross-referencing rules sections. But somehow, I sleep better than on most days. 🤪
