GMT Games really gave the design team full latitude (and time!) to work on producing special components for this release. Between the oversized cards, player mats and custom player aids included in the release, I think you'll like the immersive feel into the era.

Especially when you can - also - get two other wonderful entries into the Series. 😂

After Spain... Russia!

A few snippets from a very unexpected commission to work on a COIN game.

Total freedom to come up with a map for the next volume in the COIN Series: The Ōnin War, Muromachi Japan.

A game by Joe Dewhurst.

A tribute to Kisai Risshō (Hiroshige II).

The Christmas gift from my daughter.

One of wonderful aspects of loving in France is the unmitigated love you feel here for old books and vintage prints. There are second-hand/specialty booksellers almost everywhere.

The typefaces alone in this volume are absolutely gorgeous.

If anything, I'm loyal to a fault. 😘
Seriously, this a great series to get into wargames and to learn more about the Old Northwest frontier. Recommended reading:

Bogged down, for the past few days, in the minutiae of rules editing. Always an ambivalent moment, no?You don't advance on *anything* else as your thoughts are constantly wrapped around modifications and cross-referencing rules sections. But somehow, I sleep better than on most days. 🤪

It's always been a dream to work with Japanese publisher. When living in Asia, 'Six angles' or 'Game Journal' magazines for example were always at the forefront of wargaming graphics.

This make-over of "Bulge20" is an homage to Robert M. Chapin Jr., the Time Magazine cartographer during WW2.
