Trump's thugs are going hog wild and tossing gas around in one of the busiest commercial districts in Minneapolis, just a mile or so from where I live. Complete insanity.

1. threatened to have a leaf blower shoved up my ass
2. told "come on, you and me let's go"
3. told "i am going to go get my gun"

but strangely i did not shoot anyone in the face, so,,

At least 77% of Americans want ALL of the Epstein Files to be released. They were due 12/19/25 under The Epstein Files Transparency Act. Trump’s DOJ refuses to release them. They’re playing Manifest Destiny Part II instead #ReleaseEpsteinFiles

My other cat also likes to be tucked in. He has an orange blanket because he's a #ChicagoBears fan.

Please stop and read this statement from Renee Good's wife.
Renee Macklin Good's wife, Becca Good, released a statement and it moved me to sobbing tears:

“If we understand Black feminism, [we know] that if we transform the conditions of the most marginalized amongst us, we transform everybody’s conditions.”

Gracelynne West spoke to activists & organizers to discuss why a Black feminist lens remains a key tool for 2026.
Black feminist organizers reflect on Trump's second term and the future of their movements
In the face of rising fascism and political instability, activists say the liberatory framework offered by Black feminism is more crucial than ever

I did a volunteer project for Books for Classrooms, an organization associated with Dessert Ink Press, a few years ago. I was very impressed with their commitment to literacy, community, and supporting the Tohono O'odham Nation.

Check out Desert Ink Press! They are working to improve literacy for children from preschool to high school. They're led by members of the Tohono O’odham Nation working to publish more O’odham-language books and books that celebrate the cultures of southern Arizona: desertinkpress.org/pages/mission

All promised after January 6, 2021 to stop funding lawmakers who tried to overturn the 2020 election.

And all have broken that promise.

The hard part of the first day back to reality after a break is not getting up and getting out the door. The hard part is a few hours later when the realization sets in that not only are we doing this for most of today, we're also doing it again tomorrow.

The Epstein Files Transparency Act is a law, passed by Congress on November 19 with an overwhelming vote. Complying with it was not optional. The Department of Justice did not comply.

I want to make sure this is very clear.

Someone put cocktail napkins out in the kitchen that say, "What fresh hell is this?" I'm not sure if this is commentary on anything specific, or if we're just saving the other option, Muppets Happy Birthday napkins, for later.

I bet the average American whose health-insurance premium just doubled would love to know the price tag for the unauthorized U.S. military operation that just took out a foreign leader they've never heard of in a country they couldn't find on a map.

Insanity beyond all measure. This would destroy billions of dollars of research and decades of research people spent their entire careers on.

I like this for a trend. Read one book? I'm glad. Read a huge number of books? I'm glad. Didn't finish a book this year? It's OK. Maybe you did other cool things, maybe it was a hard year. Sometimes it's like that.

(But if you have recommendations for books or cool things, I'm here for them.)
The number of books I've read this year is actually a state secret, so I won't be sharing. Sorry.

We are firm believers in staying home if you are sick. My in-laws are not. So, as much as I was trying to not pass it on, I was trying to protect myself from souvenirs from years past such as bronchitis and norovirus. So happy we are home and souvenir free so far.

Spent the last 96 hours in self imposed quarantine in my in-laws guest room because of a not Covid, not flu, virus from hell that wasn't symptomatic when we left home. The bright spot was my husband smuggling me an electric kettle and tea supplies from the kitchen as if it were a heist film.

Your body belongs to you. It's a gift, not something you owe to others. So if a compliment receives a thank you, that's a complete conversation. 8/8

Compliment people of all sizes. Compliment all people when so moved. People can change in appearance for all kinds of reasons and may not wish to share why. Your curiosity is not a command. 7/8

I'm a white collar, cis gender, heterosexual, white lady, without detectable disabilities, so I realize those characteristics insulate me from many of the ways that bodily respect and autonomy are taken from my sisters and siblings. 6/8
