I saw a billboard today for "Accident Attorneys" but first read it as accidental attorneys and thought, "Oh, wow, imagine going through all of that by accident." Then again, as a fresh college graduate who'd never taken a business class and had a vague idea of daily lawyer life, I was close.

Pissed off/ fired up women

Women have had to learn how to have their ideas seem like a man’s idea in order to be taken seriously.

Teach girls that their voices and ideas matter.

“She Wears a Crown of Ideas”

Time to listen and learn.

Medical offices, if you are not going to staff the front desk enough to take inbound calls to make an appointment, could you give me the option to schedule online instead of leaving a message? You're an understaffed business, I'm an adult in 2025, the odds that we end up playing phone tag are high.

Kyle Kingsbury is not a journalist. He is not an op-ed writer.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

In under 1600 words.

"They was bringing the kids down, had them zip-tied to each other."

"I kept asking, 'What is the morality?' One of them laughed. He said, 'Fuck them kids.'"

And now, she is going.

Not to another wing of the hospital.

Not to a specialist.

Not to the care she should have had immediately.

She is driving across state lines like a fugitive, like the act of not dying requires secrecy and strategy.

We cannot force a corpse to donate organs, but we can force a dead woman to be an incubator against her family’s wishes.

The precedent this is setting is terrifying.

It's worth the time to read this for the discussion of many important issues. One is child marriage, which sounds remote and old timey, but it is not. I grew up in small town central Illinois and knew girls married under 18 to older men, in service of their parents' Christian Nationalist beliefs.
It’s important to know that the government will not pony-up the $5,000 for a pregnancy, but only for a baby, which makes me wonder about the “life begins at conception” regulations. I guess it’s all good unless it’s about money.

A PSA inspired by a guy that tailgated me in a rural construction zone, almost hit a worker passing in a one lane area, then got out of his car at a red light to yell at me:

It's spring. It's road construction season. Add a few minutes to your travel time. Don't kill anyone just doing their job.

Women already run everything

homes, schools, communities, campaigns.

The only thing they haven’t run is the Oval Office.

That’s not a coincidence.

It’s a problem. Fix it.

Who could have known having non-lawyers create questions with AI to license lawyers was a bad idea?

Well, for starters, pretty much everyone quoted in this article.

Once again, AI is not a replacement for knowledge and expertise.
