You can now search by preferring, or not preferring, Universes Beyond:

• prefer:ub (or prefer:universebeyond) tries to find UB prints for each matching card, but will show non-UB prints if no UB prints match for that card.
• prefer:notub (or prefer:notuniversesbeyond) tries to find non-UB prints.

You now have the option to search by date:now (or date:today). Searches are cached, so this won't be an exact-this-second thing, but it'll be true to within the last few hours.

Here's a search for cards that have a release date sometime today or in the future:
scryfall.com/search?q=dat...
date>=now
138 Magic cards found where the date is greater than or equal to now

The siege update for Dwarf Fortress is the coolest goddamn thing. The fact that invaders now react to killing-fields and will start building or digging to bypass defenses is so cool.

Bolt throwers are probably a bit overtuned, since you can basically create machine gun emplacements buuut

I'm not going to form an opinion on the new Metroid Prime until it's out and I can take it in with full context, but if it turns out that Nintendo for like the third time forgot the tone of Metroid? It'll be very funny.

"Malort advent calendar" is already such an unhinged concept but every little window just having Malort in it really pushes it over the edge into something transcendently funny

pre-writing a devastating obituary for your enemy is god-tier hating of a kind you don’t often see anymore. renaissance haterism. beautiful stuff.
A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.

Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.

One of the things that has made entering new cards easier for @scryfall.com for the past year has been that the new WOTC galleries exposed card data on the back-end such that we could programmatically access it.

With the full reveal of TLA, they've removed that data.

I feel absolutely crushed.
