The quickest way to tell that someone does not have a masters or PhD is for them to be like "I can't be stupid I have my masters or PhD" because anybody worth their salt with those high level degrees damn well knows that stupid people get them all the time

Like we are facing so many problems in politics and society so it feels weird to focus on but the thing is so many people who have influence over those things are completely incapable of admitting when they are wrong so they become an active roadblock in trying to make things better.

I have a lot to say about the Cenk thing but the shorter version that applies to more than just him is, people's egos have gotten out of hand.
Every time he's gotten pushback it's caused him to just go more and more and there are SO many cases of this. And we reward it in a lot of them which is bad

As with most sexual crimes this’s abt power, but different from demonstrating power over a single person. This’s abt violating taboos (as you point out) &laws to show absolute power over humanity. They want to elevate themselves to godlike status. And considering the lack of repercussions it worked.

Sometimes I want to talk about how pedophilia probably wasn't strictly the draw for most of these men (though it certainly was for Epstein himself). It is simply that raping and torturing minors is one of the last frontiers of depravity left to powerful men who can do anything.
