Tesla has gone from "It's just better than all the others."

To something considered toxic, which is so bizarre given they are the only car company selling only EVs and we are struggling to meet the EV mandate right now…
I have been asked a few times how I feel about Tesla in the post sane Musk era. I wrote this:

This is such cool analysis of PIN in @haveibeenpwned.com's Pwned Passwords. Scroll through the page and watch the heat map change alongside the explanations of how people are creating (somewhat) predictable PINs: www.abc.net.au/news/2025-01...

I keep thinking about this animation. A fascinating piece of fluid dynamics - the steep temperature gradient from the unprecedented cold snap in Florida creating an instability that rolls out along the Gulf Stream and becomes Storm Éowyn.
From North American cold outbreak to Storm Éowyn.

London’s Pie & Mash should have protected status, but sadly it never gained popularity outside its native environment and now it’s going extinct. Soon to be another distant memory of London’s own culture.

Fun? Beaufort 12, hurricane force, winds all day tomorrow! From 8am until 8pm!

Which is fine, but do they really need to startle everyone at rush hour with a loud klaxon for an alert that doesn’t require immediate attention? The US use an emergency alert system that is quiet if it’s not time critical: alerts such as these appear all the time without distracting you.

Some alarming gusts showing on 15z UKV inland across NW Ireland (114mph) and central belt of Scotland (99mph). I do hope the model is overdoing wind gusts, not good for these areas if these predictions do come close #StormÉowyn

The Met Office amber warning for #StormÉowyn is a high impact warning. If confidence of high impacts increase it’s possible we could see a further escalation to red.

Potentially a very dangerous storm systems

Not terribly impressed with the BlueSky algorithm. I said I liked animals. Now I just have a feed full of boring pictures of people’s pets…
