I just found out that our stuff is being sold on Amazon - WITHOUT our consent or any ability to opt out bc Amazon is just scraping artist’s websites and putting our shit in their search results. Again, without our permission.

GOOD NEWS! Researchers have shown Alzheimer’s disease can be REVERSED- not just prevented. Using a potent neuroprotective compound called P7C3-A20, they found RESTORING balance to a central cellular energy molecule (NAD+) not only PREVENTED disease features but REVERSED them, EVEN at late stages.

I see they've managed to streamline the design considerably.

Sister-in-law during Thanksgiving dinner: "Do you think it's possible for an AI or computer to feel compassion?"
The only honest way I could answer: "I mean, if you can figure out a way to represent 'compassion' with matrix mathematics and linear algebra... Sure?"

People argue if Star Wars is "good" or "bad" and I'm just here like:
"Haha droids are great. :)"

Seeing this reminds me of a PC I was asked to fix for an elderly woman who was on oxygen, so naturally she smoked like a freight train. The apartment complex forbid it, but alas.
Her old PC made my eyes BURN just from being within 5 feet of it, it smelled THAT bad! 🤢

"Man, robotics as a hobby is getting rough. GPUs are expensive, RAM's expensive, as is anything containing it, CPUs are getting expensive... At least brushless motors and LiPo batteries are still cheap and easy to come-THE FUCK ON, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!"

A reminder that there's no shame in leaving Twitter.
"But all my friends are still there!" did no favors for anyone on the Titanic.
merry christmas! the other website now has a grok overly on every single image that lets you remix and create AI slop out of other people's uploads without their consent

Stuff is tough right now, I'm really considering doing full background commissions for 200$ and single character commissions for like 150$ maybe even less.

Big under sell but I'm in a tough spot.

Please if anyone is interested in a good character portrait il do so for cheap.300$ is the usual.

"Well, the AI industry has completely fucked GPU and RAM prices, but at least if I HAVE to upgrade, a 5800X3D would be a huge step-up from my 2700X, and at <$400 it would still good bang for the FUCK YOU MEAN IT'S $700 USED NOW?!"
December 21, 2025 at 5:58 AM
Well, nVidia, thanks for announcing that you're cutting back on GPU production.
How's Mujuco these days? I was planning on eventually upgrading my GPU to one that could run IsaacSim and the like, but...

Thinking back to this ridiculous pissing-match so I'll add:
At what point does "AI" take over research to the degree that "human accomplishment" means nothing anymore?
For example: If I decided to make a CG short, even just 5 years ago, it would have required lots of effort on my part. 1/?
...Who "asks a friend" for serious scientific research? 🤡

Suddenly I'm reminded of a time when I ordered a bunch of (I believe) ultrasonic range-detection boards, and what I got after two weeks of shipping time was a box full of cheap ~$1 sunglasses. Contacted the seller and they were like "WHOOPS! my b lol have a refund". Wonder how long that will last...
Heads up for all my art friends that have an online store.

"I don't need some ballet-dancin' 'slim, elegant' maid! I needs me a chrome-fed sumbitch built like a brick shit-house what can heft a 3-stringer 10-foot in the air, and land it where it needs t'be on the stack!"

"Turing Test" is tired and old-hat.
The ultimate test for useful humanoid robots is if they can autonomously mow a lawn.
With an electric mower.
That runs off an extension cord.

I used to think the "AI" bubble was just another dumb gold rush, with desperate/gullible folks making money, sure, but to make money somebody has to lose it.
And while there are losers, I worry that it's not a "gold rush" given the strain on logistics it's causing, but rather a "Cold Total War".

Well, that's a Windows Annoyance™ I've only just now realized:
*have to have a high volume otherwise some websites are quiet as hell
*use Volume Mixer to tune the sound levels of apps
*have "System Sounds" set to a level of 5-10
*apparently the "System Sound" when you change volume doesn't count...
