An ad hoc group of volunteers including half dozen+ members of Indivisible Ukiah served free lunch to all, with leftovers going to Building Bridges, Plowshares, Food Bank, Little Free Library. But the best visuals were the free entertainment!!!

Border Patrol has been targeting the elderly heavily. Today in Santa Ana, that’s almost all they took, including this man and his cane.

Yikes 😬 an official U.S. government account just referred to Americans as “imbecilic morons.” That’s… a choice.

Baristas at Starbucks corporate stores nationwide are on strike to fight this corporate greed and get the fair contract they deserve.

Black Boy by Richard Wright at the age of 10 cos it was in our home bookcases. Bonus anecdote: I was determined to learn more so at the next weekly library visit I took out Pride and Prejudice. Reader, I was sorely disappointed!
performative reading, lack of reading skills, nobody's reading anymore -- NO!

tell me about a book that changed you

for me? the *extremely* ahistorical novel, THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY which I read at 13 and was like, "Oh, art can be *everything* to a maker, for good and bad"
