suppressing fibroblast activity too early after MI -> not good; suppressing myoFB activity after the early pos-MI phase -> Great! And the benefits lasted for 4 weeks (in mice)!

Finally in Publication: knockdown of ADAM17 in smooth muscle cells markedly worsened atherosclerosis (in LDLR-KO mice) even though plasma hyperlipidemia remained unchanged. Arterial cells are critical players in atherosclerosis development. (Atherosclerosis. 2025 doi: 10.1016/j.atherosclerosis)
