OK, this is GREAT. One world, multiple systems building it out. I went all the way back to the start and was pleased to see Quest on the table. This table were really fun in that, but when they switch mid story to Skeletons? They really ate with that one.

Rated and reviewed.

To throw it into the ring, I work on Gamewoven, a part world-building, part indie showcase, part experiment in form where we play oneshots of small games to make and tell stories in a world.

Since some ghouls are already pushing it as a talking point, we should probably all familiarize ourselves with ephebophilia (sexual attraction to post-pubescent minors) as a bad thing. It’s technically distinct from pedophilia, and equally horrifying.

PORN IS ART, PORN IS GOOD, PEOPLE MAKING PORN IS A SIGN OF A HEALTHY SOCIETY
There has been a noticeable reticence in left and liberal circles to voice full-throated support for pornography, even as it's become increasingly clear what the open end goals of the censorship movement are
In a lot of ways other leftists chose this path folks. They shrugged and didn’t care when Patreon banned a ton of hypnosis and TF creators, or when YouTube started their ASMR crackdown. Now it’s coming for queer porn creators, more and more. Who will stand up?

Piece of world building I really appreciate:

The timeline for Trench Crusade includes the entry “1889 - Church Space Program commences.”

There’s no further elaboration because what else do you need? That’s it. It’s hilarious and portentous and just a perfect sentence.

Not for nothing, GW’s run pre-release versions of 3 different games - Oh Captain, My Captain, Before the Flood, and Bitter Litany. They’ve all been absolute bangers.
Now that @gamewoven.bsky.social’s wrapped on The Bitter Litany as set in a continent-spanning empire, a part of me wants to revisit the game, but set in a small town. Make that level of grandiosity expressed in the most minute way possible. The Prince rules a thousand people, each house a few dozen.

I relistened to Shaun’s video about the decision to drop the Atomic Bombs, and one thing that hit me was him talking about how Japanese leadership hadn’t had nukes dropped on them, peasants had. The plan was for the populace to die anyway, they just weren’t dying in useful ways.
not enough chatter about how frequently members fly and how attacking airport capacity directly affects them in a way that cutting SNAP does not

This one is special to me. It’s a story where a person we briefly alluded to is told a story expanding lore from another game… it’s a very me kind of project.

I’m not really sure what it’s about. It’s about gods and mortality and doing things and talking to lovers.

Imagine waking up naked in bed and she’s not there, but you can hear her out the window singing into the dark. You snuggle into the pillows and just listen for a while.

Several months ago, Johnathan from Some More News said, “Some weeks we have evil news and some weeks we have stupid news.”

Stupid news is a nice break sometimes, and I hate that we’re here but here we are.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot, breaking down our main factions into smaller constituencies. Because I want us to deal with populations and peoples in addition to organizations and nascent states as we move into a popular uprising.
Me making @gamewoven.bsky.social lore:

The Bowerlands did not begin to form a collective state-like identity until recently. Partially motivated by the births of the New Gods, a lot of the legwork has been done by the Hydrangeas, a mutual aid network founded by Dre while raising Andus.

racist tradcath has to be seen, I think, as its own form of heresy
It's quite fascinating how tradcath converts like JD Vance and Kevin Roberts are increasingly at war with much of a more liberal Catholic Church hierarchy in the United States

Useful for Cuomo to say that this was an election about the future identity of the Democratic Party in his concession speech. You know. Because he lost.

I think my least favorite thing about musical theater is that the public consciousness only has space for one musical at a time, so I mostly have to hear about Wicked or Hamilton and not like Waitress or Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder.

Dumb theory:

Multiverses are in vogue because we’ve gotten used to existing in a world that has to contend with multiple extremely distinct versions of reality coexisting, and it’s fun to do that with like wizards and dragons and shit rather than definitions of humanity and criminality.

Today I'm 55 years old. My father died when he was 54, killed by his addiction, and I thought I'd die before my 55th year as well. Cancer tried, but I'm still here. For my birthday, I'd appreciate you sharing this GoFundMe with friends or on social media.

Someday, in like 2080, someone is going to make *Don’t Listen to Me: The Joe Rogan Experience,* a biopic about how a gormeless fuck was the cornerstone of the atrocities committed in the End of America.

Del Toro: (nodding) this is exactly as sexy as I asked for.

Incredible stones to be throwing from the guy whose kid has seemingly learned more practical life lessons from The Simpsons than him.
I told my dad that i knew how to fix our toilet, he sounded mildly impressed but then said “oh was there and episode of the simpsons where they fix a toilet or something.”
