I never got around to making actual notes, but at one point I spent several work days mentally blowing up the Warlock class to turn it into a parallel progression track you could explore through alternate objectives and sacrificing features off your sheet.

So not that it matters, but it’s factually impossible for Trump to be the 48th president and maintain a consistent numbering system. Staggeringly pedantic point to make, which I’m going to justify by saying if little things like this are missed, it a bit of a flag that the reasoning might be spotty.

Meaningless semantic quibble: do we count presidents like that when they’re reelected? Like, we do with Congresses, but I’m pretty sure you only get a new number when you’re changing presidents.

Something that I trip over is that online discourse has us primed to always look for disagreement because if we agree, folks will usually drop a like and bland affirmation that we’re in agreement.

This is foreign to me. I like to not just say that I agree, but why, and that reads as conflict online

Got them qued up and I’ll get back to you in a couple of days 🫡

More people should be playing Quest. What a good game.

So what you got for me?

I was agreeing with you by talking more.

Also, I don’t think I had as firm a grip on ‘distinction without a difference,’ so I guess I was talking through it for my own understanding.
November 15, 2025 at 12:04 PM
When you can articulate that you know what the difference is and hold it in equal contempt, you’ve settled the question.

Like how it’s worth understanding that current white-christo-nationalists aren’t literal Nazis so you can say, “Sure, but we should treat them like they are, they’re that bad.”

That public opinion piece of it is why, to my mind, it’s good to know what that difference is. If you can’t express the difference, the argument could be made that you just don’t understand that there is one. And there is a difference…

The Citadel is the American Legion Hall.

The kind of crazy twist to throw in is how do you handle The Barrow? Are they an actual religious leader, or just like… a prominent busybody. ‘Visions’ are just speculation on seemingly odd behavior from normal people.

So you’ve got an astute observation about the necessity of satire; you puncture reactionary movements by making them look as absurd as they actually are, get down to it.

There’s a lot to learn from BS specifically and Brook’s oeuvre in general about how to make satire. Yet the example is always BS

I mean, sure, but then you’re continuing the work of Blazing Saddles.

Most of the folks saying, “You couldn’t make Blazing Saddles today,” really like how you had a bunch of white people saying the n-word, and that’s kind of the thing they really want to do.

Four games with Hunter(ed), though that one’s on the Patchwork feed.

Point being, there’s a crazy amount of skill, creativity, and insight in the space and it’s a real joy to have a show that pushes us to experience that.

Also, take a break from
Politicking to play Good Society with the social circle of one of the BL characters, just to give the society another layer of granularity.

Specifically, I think it would be fun to do Zehollow before the Brazen Beerhall gets burned down. The Prince is either the current Marathonian or his steward/heir, couple of spares to show division among the Brazen, some Grayfolk families, presumably a Verdrene. But just very small and contained.

To throw it into the ring, I work on Gamewoven, a part world-building, part indie showcase, part experiment in form where we play oneshots of small games to make and tell stories in a world.

I’m not exactly great with economics, but if I used my blank check to buy 24 of these boxes and went one to Dril every day, do you think it would help fix his finances?
