As a science community, we must stand united. As we fight for illegally terminated #NSF & #NIH grants I see MANY stand together but I also see a problematic trend; some arguing my work has nothing to do with DEI. By as early as Friday, House Rs are hoping to have passed their bill to kick millions off Medicaid and millions off SNAP.
Even with all Dems opposed this could pass both the House and the Senate - so we need to flip 3 in the House or 4 in the Senate.

Bears repeating that Congress has not passed a budget or any other legislation that has asked the NSF to do this downsizing, they're dismantling the agency in anticipation of cuts that as of yet have no basis in law

Thinking about devastating cuts to NSF: US gov-funded science has been the engine upon which most of the tech wealth was generated. But the oligarchs (currently hoarding much of that $) think it’s their own brilliance & not the accident of standing close to the scientific engine that made them rich.
