They did incalculable damage in those months. Millions of people around the world will starve, or die from preventable diseases. They have stolen Americans private data, fired thousands, cut essential programs & departments. Just a complete disgrace, and a moral stain on our nation. For shame.

With nearly all the votes in, the 👀👀👀 60-40 margin is holding for Democrats in Georgia thanks to things like a notable flip of suburban Fayette County and Saddam-like numbers in ATL core counties of Fulton/DeKalb/Clayton.

Alicia Johnson made history in Georgia - becoming the first African American woman to win a statewide election for Public Service Commissioner! So very proud to be a Georgian.

And don't be all over social media talking about it. Let the white people go on TikTok, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Let them be seen crying. They will use anything to make it seem only Black and Brown people are hurting. Latinos, for once, listen to Black people on this. Say NOTHING!
Black and Brown people. PLEASE, PLEASE for the love of us all do not allow yourself to be interviewed if SNAP benefits don't come on November 1. Make the white folks do the interviews. They love getting Black folks to do these interviews so that people think we are the only ones hurt.

Only add that the leaders and supporters of the Confederacy weren’t condemned to the fringes of society after the Civil War - which eventually led to the Civil Rights movement in the 1960s.
Americans redemption and acceptance of bigots and bigotry is the reason we keep repeating history.
But America did not reach a consensus about what this nation should be in the 1960s. The forces who rejected the vision of egalitarian pluralism were not confined and condemned to an existence on the fringes of society. They have engaged in a comprehensive counter-mobilization.

we're just on the cusp of "Hoovervilles".
Media needs to be covering this every day.

What can you do to help? Donate to your local food bank. There are food banks in just about every community in the country, and now they are being used by federal workers who normally have jobs, but are furloughed because of the shutdown.
Families are already hanging by a thread, but the sad truth is it’s about to get a lot worse when SNAP benefits don’t go out in November.

It’s time to find our local food banks and help out with donations and volunteer hours if you are able.

As a rule, I as a Black man have never once been like "gee, let's hear out the guy with a Nazi tattoo." The idea that (white) people can be so value neutral about this is in and of itself a concerning tell. Hard to trust that.
Especially as a Jew, "has no problem with someone sporting a Nazi tattoo" is one of those little facts about someone that you mentally file away for whenever you encounter them in the future.
