Check out this OP-ED from DesegregateCT Advocacy Fellow Amit Kamma. By reforming outdated single-stair rules, it will be easier to construct more "missing middle" homes and redevelop older properties, which can help make safer more affordable communities. ctmirror.org/2025/10/06/w...

Again and again, whatever the state, the "league of cities" type groups are an obstacle to zoning reform
McLarty: Our only opposition was from the municipal league. We did not collaborate with them going in because we knew they would just say no to preemption.
