After waiting the entirety of the Switch era for a new Mario Kart game, it wasn't particularly good, so I made a review of it.

I was in New York City a few weeks ago, and it was the perfect opportunity to capture footage for congestion pricing.

BREAKING: Sound Transit expects to conduct its first LIVE WIRE test on the I-90 bridge TONIGHT, at around 11pm.

"A single light rail vehicle will travel at incremental speeds between 10 and 55 mph to test power systems between Mercer Island and Judkins Park stations, including the I-90 bridge."

I just uploaded a video on what makes Redmond, Washington a model for transit oriented developments:

I have a Redmond video almost ready to publish. I am just waiting for Sound Transit to drop the July ridership data. A big difference is Downtown Redmond actually takes you somewhere. It's easier to absorb riders when people actually live near the transit station.
Downtown Redmond station has become the highest used light rail station on the 2 Line since it opened in May.

During the presentation breaking down this data to the Sound Transit board right now, this is being described as notable...because that station doesn't have a parking garage.

Darn. This has to be one of the most annoying delays for a major transit expansion. From "the rail ties are borked" in 2023 to maybe opening two years after the starter line.
Sound Transit CEO Dow Constantine says the agency is seeing a "trend" toward opening the full 2 Line across Lake Washington by early 2026, compared to late 2025 as had been previously announced.

I also learned something fun about shorts thumbnails: you can edit them. You have to do it through the YouTube app. Not the studio app, the YouTube app. Of course, they have to make it as annoying as possible.

The main reason I am looking forward to the 2 Line crossing Lake Washington later this year is how much easier it will be to access all the game development jobs in Bellevue, Redmond, and even Kirkland. I've been sticking with my current employer because they allowed me to work from remote

Washington State Senate just passed a very substantial transit-oriented development bill, which has also been passed by the state house.

The bill would:
—Upzone areas near rail & BRT stations to average floor area ratios of 2.5+, with inclusionary zoning
—Eliminate most parking requirements
